Integrated Transportation Master Plan (ITMP)

The Town is updating its Integrated Transportation Master Plan (ITMP) to guide how people and goods will move throughout the community to the year 2051. As Ajax continues to grow, it is important to proactively plan for a multi‑modal transportation system that supports residents, businesses and visitors now and into the future. The updated ITMP will:

• Consider all ways of getting around — walking, cycling, rolling, public transit, driving and goods movement.
• Help improve safety, accessibility and connectivity for everyone.
• Support the Town’s strategic vision for a vibrant, inclusive and connected community, consistent with local and regional planning objectives.
• Provide a comprehensive foundation to guide future transportation investment and decision‑making.

The updated ITMP will build on Ajax’s existing transportation network and reflect current challenges, opportunities and community priorities identified through previous planning, recent development trends and ongoing engagement efforts.

We want to hear from you!
Your input is important to the ITMP update as the project team identifies existing problems and opportunities, evaluates alternative solutions and develops the preferred transportation approach for Ajax. The Town encourages residents, businesses and property owners to stay engaged throughout the study. Participants will have opportunities to:

• Stay informed about project updates and study progress.
• Provide comments at key stages of the process.
• Participate in online and in-person engagement activities.
• Review study materials and provide feedback during future Public Information Centre (PIC) events.
