The Town of Ajax is in receipt of a Zoning By-law Amendment Application (Z2/24), submitted by Land & Building Experts, on behalf of Simone Sewell, to establish a site-specific zoning exception within the Village Core Mixed Use 3 Zone (VC3) to permit a retirement home on the subject lands with site-specific development standards.

A future Site Plan Application will be required to be submitted to establish a 35-room retirement home and amenity space within the two existing buildings with 9 parking spaces.

You have the opportunity to review and comment on the proposed amendment prior to and during its consideration by the Council of the Town of Ajax, at a Statutory Public Meeting, to be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

How to Participate

This future Statutory Public Meeting will be held in-person in Council Chambers, located at Ajax Town Hall, 65 Harwood Avenue South, Ajax, Ontario, L1S 2H9, and will be livestreamed for public viewing at www.ajax.ca/live. Those wishing to make oral submissions can attend in-person and will have 5 minutes to address Council; pre-registration is not required for in-person attendance. If you are unable to attend in-person, electronic remote participation via the Town’s Hybrid Conference System is available as an option and can be arranged by contacting clerks@ajax.ca no later than end of day on Friday, May 17, 2024.

Written submissions can be provided for Council’s consideration before the meeting. Please submit your written comments by end of day on Friday, May 17, 2024 to Sean Jeffrey, Planner, at sean.jeffrey@ajax.ca. Alternatively, written submissions may be provided in the Questions/Comments box below.
