Do I need an IMO profile to provide feedback and to follow a project?
Yes, you need an IMO profile to provide feedback and engage with projects.
By creating an IMO profile, you'll have access to the following features:
- Subscribe and select which type of projects you would like to be notified about (transportation, economic development, Recreation, etc)
- Exclusive invites to participate in live focus groups
- Receive notification and provide instant feedback on quick polls
- Opportunity to comment through various tool and see all project details
As a bonus, the first 500 users to register their IMO profile have a chance to win a Google Home Mini.
What if we can’t attend a public meeting but would like to submit feedback?
We understand residents are busy and can't always attend a public meeting. Residents can access the IMO platform anytime, anywhere on their device (mobile, computer etc.) and can provide instant feedback through our engagement tools.
In addition, each project includes the staff lead and their contact info. Residents can reach out to the lead for more information and questions.
Will you keep another discussion/ideation/feedback mechanism opened after the 2018-2022 list closes?
The Idea forum for the Top 22 for 20222 Community Priority List closes on February 14. The ideas will be discussed at the Feb 20 & 21 Council Strategic Planning Session.
There will be more consultation opportunities following the session. The Strategic Plan page, features a life cycle timeline outlining the various phases of the plan's development. The IMO Team will keep residents informed as the project moves forward through regular updates.
If you haven't already, please share your #AjaxTop22 ideas!
Do projects stay on this site once they are complete?
Yes, projects stay on the site after completion and are archived. This way users can review project info, past consultation, and documents etc.
In having a look at the current list of projects, there doesn't seem to be a spot to comment or to submit online questions - like this. Is the intent that if residents have comments about a particular project they'll be submitted offline from the IMO page - i.e., outside of this specific platform? Via email, via participation at an open house, sharing the project to social media ... etc. Or, will commenting be enabled for some projects?
Each project will include an opportunity to engage. It just depends on timing. For example, If the project is in a consultation phase, there will be a variety of opportunities to provide comments via IMO, Public Meeting etc. All conveniently outline on each IMO project page.
In terms of IMO, this could be through a variety of tools. For example, surveys, polls, Q & A, forums and ideas (currently live on our Strategic Plan project page).
To stay up to date on project phases and comment/feedback opportunities the IMO team will be sending out updates to registered IMO users.
How long does a project live on this site for?
Projects last for the complete life cycle of the project. They can be as simple as a public open house to as in-depth as a budget review, facility design review etc. The IMO allows for users to see the complete scope of a project all in one place.
