Christian Faith Outreach Centre (CFOC), alongside neighbours and faith leaders, is deeply saddened by the recent attack at the Ajax Public Library. Our thoughts, prayers, and support are with the victim, her family, and the community as she recovers
Hate has no place anywhere. Thank you for this opportunity to show our solidarity and strength as a community. Compassion is stronger than hate.
This must feel especially painful that this happened during Ramadan; please know that across Canada thousands are wishing they could bring you some comfort. For now, know that here in Nova Scotia my family stands up against Islamophobia.
Please know that I stand with you and will do what I can to protect your right to a peaceful and safe life in Ajax. Draw on your faith, your family, your Muslim community and in our local community of Ajax to persevere. This attack hit us all.
No one should feel unsafe in their community, especially in a library. My heart breaks for this kind young woman. You are loved and supported.
As a resident of Ajax, I want more diversity programs to celebrate diversity. My family has been deeply concerned with the Islamophobic incident at the library. Let’s promote tolerance and respect to each other.
Not in our community! Not in Canada! Not anywhere. We strongly condemn acts of Islamophobia, hate, xenophobia and racism! We support you to wear your hijab and to live and express your faith openly and in peace.
Praying for healing in our community. ❤️🩹
Durham is my community and in my community there is room for all. I am sorry that this act of hate happened and I am sorry for anyone who is not or does not feel safe in our community. Wishing the Muslim mom and her family that they feel love.
Sending love and solidarity to the Muslim community and to anyone who has experienced hate in their lives. We stand with you and know that you are not alone. There is no place for hate or discrimination in our city, we must lead with love, always!
To my dear Muslim brothers and sisters: I am so sorry this hateful act has occurred in our town. I pray we will build a community where you feel safe, included, and at ease. We are with you <3
We are with you who are hurt with the act of hate and cowardice.

To My community....you are resilient in the face of hate. You are patient in the face of struggle. You Belong!
Sending love and support to all those who are hurt by this, and any act of hate.
