Ajax Parents of children attending school in-person: Help us enhance safe and healthy school travel. How has COVID-19 affected your decisions on how your children get to/from school? What does improvement look like to you and what types of supports do you prefer from the Town of Ajax Transportation Services? Complete the 7-minute questionnaire and map below to help us understand your priorities for safe school travel post-COVID-19.
Ongoing efforts by the Town of Ajax Transportation Services include:
Active and Safe Routes to School (Walktober, Winter Walk Day, Bike to School Week/Bike Month)
School Travel Planning (working with community partners to develop an action plan for improving conditions for active school travel at 11 schools)
School Zone Management Plan (criteria to see if a location is eligible for a school crossing guard)
Adding facilities for walking, biking, and rolling as part of the Integrated Transportation Master Plan
We do not ask for your name. Results will be presented in aggregate form to Town staff, Council, as well as the school board and will be made available publicly. Some answers may be highlighted as quotations. Your answers will be used to improve the efforts mentioned above where possible.
