Notice of Completion

The Town of Ajax has completed a Schedule C Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) study to assess potential transportation improvements to Rossland Road between Westney Road and Lake Ridge Road.

The Town of Ajax has prepared an Environmental Study Report (ESR) documenting the study process, consultation efforts and recommended plan. This Notice of Completion places the ESR on public record for a 30-day public review period, starting June 2, 2022. The ESR can be reviewed and downloaded at ajax.ca/Rossland

We invite you to read the report and direct written comments and outstanding concerns to:

If there are any outstanding concerns regarding potential adverse impacts to constitutionally protected Aboriginal and treaty rights, a person may request the Minister of Environment, Conservation and Parks to issue a Section 16 Order on those matters for this project. Requests should include the requester's contact information and full name. Requests should specify what kind of order is being requested (request for conditions or a request for an individual/comprehensive environmental assessment), how an order may prevent, mitigate or remedy potential adverse impacts on Aboriginal and treaty rights, and any information in support of the statements in the request. This will ensure that the Ministry is able to efficiently begin reviewing the request. The Section 16 Order request must be provided in writing and received by the Minister at the address below no later than July 4, 2022.
