Range Line Road

The Town of Ajax has engaged a consultant to prepare a detailed engineering design, including tender documents for road safety improvements, for Range Line Road from Pickering Beach Road to Shoal Point Road, in the Town of Ajax.

The proposed road improvements are based on the presentation at the Public Open House held on September 30, 2021. The scope of work includes:

• Pavement reconstruction and rehabilitation on both Range Line Road and Shoal Point Road.
• Removal of existing roundabouts
• New sidewalk will be installed on Range Line Road to connect the existing sidewalk at Cherry Road
• Stop controlled intersection on Pickering Beach Road to connect to the existing Waterfront Trail
• New curb and gutter
• Connection of existing sump pump out-letting underneath the new sidewalk to the new drainage system
• Traffic calming measures such as raised intersections at Poplar Avenue and at Ruthel Road, curb bump outs and speed humps
• New pavement paint markings and signage are also included in the proposed road improvements.
