The Town of Ajax is holding a Public Open House to review the design and layout of the proposed new playground to be located at Picov Parkette. The new playground is planned to be constructed within the area of the existing playground. The project will include the demolition and removal of the existing playground equipment and will also include the removal of paving, curbs, and site furniture. The playground area will be rebuilt to include junior playground equipment, swings, improved lighting, concrete curbs, paving, benches, bicycle rings, a waste receptacle, and additional tree planting.
The Public Open House will be an opportunity for residents to review the design and provide comments, prior to the finalization of the plans. Town Staff will be in attendance to answer questions about the project. The new playground is scheduled to be constructed over the summer of 2019. The project tender is subject to Council approval.
