Ajax has completed its 10-year Economic Development & Tourism Strategy (2010) and is looking for input into a new, bold 5-year Economic Development Action Plan.
The new plan will provide direction and clear actions through 2025!
We want your input on:
Growth opportunities in the areas of business retention, expansion and attraction
Streamlining business processes and support to help new businesses grow
Industries of opportunity for Ajax including tourism, new technologies and emerging industries
Workforce development - attracting and retaining Ajax's talented workforce
Marketing and outreach activities - new trends, new methods to get the word out about Ajax's people and places
A key component of the strategy is engaging with local stakeholders including a telephone business survey, online community survey, individual interviews and workshop discussions.

The Town of Ajax is developing an Economic
Development Strategy based on a cohesive vision for economic development.
The Economic Development Action Plan will
establish goals and priorities so that the community can embrace opportunities
for economic growth and diversity.
Assisting us in this process is MDB Insight, an experienced and
respected consulting firm that will be involved with various forms of community
engagement and in the development of the Strategy.
A key component of the strategy is engaging
with local stakeholders in various ways, including through a business survey,
interviews, workshop discussions and this community survey.
