Consultation has concluded
The Town is undertaking a comprehensive review of its commercial and employment land needs to 2041.
The Commercial and Employment Review – Draft Report, available in the Document Library (right sidebar), outlines that the Town has a well-established industrial base and that its Employment Areas are an integral part of the Town’s economic development potential.
The draft report also acknowledges that an important factor in creating a livable community for the Town’s growing population is providing sufficient commercial shopping opportunities.
Through the comprehensive review, it is projected that the Town will have a sufficient supply of commercial and employment land to accommodate forecast demand to 2041.
Based on this evaluation, the Draft Report makes recommendations and proposes strategies to help ensure these areas remain competitive in the regional market area.
