The Town of Ajax is in receipt of development applications, submitted by 2649368 Ontario Inc., proposing a residential subdivision consisting of single detached dwellings, street townhouse dwellings, park and open space blocks, public road extensions/widenings and a lane, and two future development blocks which will consist of block townhouse dwellings within a common elements condominium. Together, a total of 79 dwellings are proposed. The future submission of a Site Plan Application and Draft Plan of Condominium Application will also be required to facilitate the proposed development. The lands affected by the proposed development are 1192 and 1260 Church Street North.

The purpose of the Official Plan Amendment is to re-designate a portion of the subject lands to the Medium Density Residential designation to permit an increase in density and to permit additional uses. The purpose of the Zoning By-law Amendment is to rezone the lands to site-specific Residential Zones to permit different residential dwellings and set site-specific development standards to facilitate the proposed development. The purpose of the Draft Plan of Subdivision is to establish the necessary lots, blocks, and public right-of-ways to facilitate the proposed development.

We invite you to attend the public open house to learn more about this development proposal, identify any concerns, and to provide comments. The public open house will be held electronically on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 from 7 to 9 p.m. Further details on the proposed development are available on this page.
