What is Action26?

Ajax Council’s path to 2026 started with the launch of Action26 in June 2023, having created this dynamic strategic plan to advance Town priorities and guide decision-making for the 2022-2026 term. The plan originally identified 3 pillars, 13 Council priorities and 176 supporting actions to be initiated as follows:

• 44 actions in 2023
• 48 actions in 2024
• 20 actions in 2025
• 11 actions in 2026
• 53 actions ongoing

After Year 1, out of 170* actions...

• 46 actions are complete
• 40 actions have been initiated
• 53 projects are ongoing
• 31 actions (18%) have not been initiated
