The Town of Ajax is conducting rehabilitation and retrofitting work for Pond 17, located at 110 S Rossland Road West. The scope includes vegetation management (including Phragmites), pre- and post-construction surveys, contaminated sediment removal, terraseeding, aquatic planting, and minor maintenance and repairs. Funding is provided through the Town's stormwater fund and stormwater maintenance reserve, with additional support from the Housing-Enabling Water Systems Fund, which assists municipalities in rehabilitating and expanding stormwater infrastructure to support housing growth, community protection, and economic development. The project will be carried out in compliance with all applicable municipal, provincial, federal, and Conservation Authority regulations.
